The Town of Virden held a contest for Kindergarten to Grade 8 students to name the new orchard near Virden Junior High School. Each grade winner received a prize package and the overall winner received a grand prize package. The winning title and the name of the winner will be featured on a sign at the orchard.
Forms were distributed to Mary Montgomery School, Goulter School, and Virden Junior High. Students were also welcome to submit a second entry.
