ACC Practical Nursing Program

Assiniboine Community College will host a rural rotating Practical Nursing program in Virden, MB, commencing September 2022 for 25 students. To read the full news release, visit the ACC website.

Applications to the Virden offering of the program are currently being accepted, with an application deadline of May 23rd, 2022. All qualified applications received within that window will be assessed for admission. For all rural rotating sites, admission priority will be given to applicants living in a rural community within 100 km of the site.

Anyone interested in the program who wants to learn more and/or ask questions is encouraged to attend an online information session on either April 19th or April 28th, 2022. These free 45-minute sessions are led by the chair of the program as well as the admissions specialist and are extremely helpful and allow for Q&A as well. Visit assiniboine.net/infosession to register. Anyone can attend!

All applicants must complete the 15-hour Math for Nurses course prior to applying. Visit the ACC website for dates and register here. There are only three start dates remaining before the May 23 application deadline, and you must be registered two business days prior to the course start date. Any potential applicants are encouraged to register for Math for Nurses as soon as possible.
